Former Miss World Rosanna Davison proves hard work does pay of as we delve into her world to take a look at her nutritional empire and get to know the brains behind the books, the website and the columns. Daughter of Chris De Burgh and former model Rosanna Davison has taken the world by storm with her successful business focusing on fitness, health and wellbeing. In 2013, Rosanna graduated from the College of Naturopathic Medicine and is now a qualified and insured Nutritional Therapist. She has also studied with the US-based Institute of Functional Medicine and now works with her clients to battle weight loss and other issues including hair loss, acne, digestive disfunction, autoimmune disease, infertility, endocrine imbalances and much more.

Rosanna has become an inspiration for men and women not only in Ireland, but across the globe as she helps people on a daily basis with advice and tips in order for her followers to better themselves mentally and physically. It didn’t take long before the release of her first book “Eat Yourself Beautiful” in 2015. This book is full of recipes to “make you feel really good” and contains her top personal tips for achieving beauty from the inside out. She claims that the foods she recommends can do everything from banishing dark circles to boosting your energy levels and combating bloating. While some of the ingredients are more specialist and expensive, the former Miss World said that most of them are affordable and “very much the kind of foods you would pick up in most good supermarkets”. The book shot to number one and even though there were 7,000 books printed in the first run, it became so “in demand” that there had to be three print runs as the initial stocks ran out within a few weeks.

Following the success of her first book she then went on to release another book the year after in 2016 ‘Eat Yourself Fit’. This book has over 100 powerful recipes to complement and enhance your fitness routine and sample diet and exercise plans as well as mental tips and tricks to keep you motivated and build long-term healthy habits. “I designed the recipes to give options that are muscle-building, antioxidant, mood-enhancing, sleep-enhancing, calorie controlled or antioxidant rich, depending on your fitness goals. They include Rawnola Parfait with Raspberry and Vanilla Coconut Whip; Omega-3 Gingerbread Energy Bars; Coconut, Chickpea, Spinach and Sun-Dried Tomato Stew; Skinny Cauliflower Tabbouleh; and treats such as Pecan Pie Truffles.” ‘Eat Yourself Fit’ is just as successful as the first book and Rosanna is thrilled with how it turned out. “I’m delighted with the reaction to Eat Yourself Fit and it has sold better than anyone had predicted. I love seeing my recipes being made and hearing feedback from readers. I get hundreds of messages from men and women who have managed to make healthy and positive changes to their lifestyles from reading the book. That makes it so worthwhile for me.”

Rosanna explains how she keeps motivated to work hard on these books by the support of her family “My husband, family and friends inspire me. I have so much love, respect and admiration for my husband Wes, my parents and two younger brothers, and my great group of female friends are a huge inspiration. I think it’s really important to surround yourself with positive people that encourage you to constantly better yourself.”

Since Rosanna’s two successful cookbooks we can only imagine she’d be a great dinner party hostess with an abundance of skills in the kitchen so we asked her who she’d love to invite to a dinner party if she could pick anyone in the world. “Can I please pick five?! My husband, parents and two brothers. They’re my favourite people in the whole world to hang out with and we have such a laugh together.”

The former model is also a firm believer in incorporating exercise into your daily routine as well as eating healthier. “For me, one of the most effective ways to keep fit and stay consistently active is to make exercise a normal part of my lifestyle.” Rosanna is known for loving Pilates and the benefits it has on the body but it’s all about finding what works best for your body and lifestyle and more importantly finding out what you like doing in order to keep it up.

Over on Rosanna’s website www.rosannadavisonnutrition.com you can find everything from fashion, fitness, and lifestyle to beauty, recipes and nutrition. It really covers everyone’s needs and it’s a great site to visit if you’re thinking about making a few lifestyle changes for the better.
