This entire piece made me feel less alone, mostly by crystallizing just how alone our tribalism, faux-populism and identity politics are making us. Kind of like how the mass connectedness the Internet enabled has maybe our isolation worse. Oh, the irony.

I don’t mean to jump on the bad wagon of hand-wrining about the lethality of loneliness. It’s a problem, yes, but an epidemic? Can I get some nuance up in here? ;)
