If by western thought you mean western philosophy, of course you are right. But I meant thought, period. I’m certain there was western thought before recorded history, but any assumptions we might make about it would be speculation.
By dualism, I was not referring to the spiritual vs. material dualism of philosophy, but the light/dark, good/evil dualism of religious thought which relies on contrast and, often, absolutes to organize a world view.
I am not a fan of polarization or campaigns of thought purity. I hope we can find a way to exist with respect for differences.
