The problem is, in a public forum where people are essentially strangers and no one knows the “real life” person, people’s words are all we have. It can be difficult to tell what is a joke and what is not. I appreciate that.

I have found some of your brother’s comments off-topic and disconcerting. Perhaps he is, as you say, joking. I hope you are right.
