I kind of wish he advocated volunteering or otherwise putting your time to use for the service of others. I don’t know how much “socialization” I’ve ever gotten at the gym, but I sure do interact with people of many types, learn a lot, and grow as a human volunteering.

I know he is welcome to do whatever he’d like with his time and that volunteerism isn’t for everyone, but it seems like a great (and cheap) hobby to take up in this situation.
