Professional Development week at Leeds Trinity University
The professional Development week that took place at Leeds Trinity University was to meet with different companies and to learn about the different companies and job roles that we could have. It was also an opportunity to talk and meet different employers to find out more information about how we can achieve the goals that we may have.
One of the companies who came to the talk was the owner of Rafi`s spice box. He spoke to us about how he made the business a success and also what he learnt from his time at University. He has inspired me to try harder at University but also provided me with information about how I too can own a business and turn a simple into a success
The second speaker was Drew Rowlands, the Development Director from the company IVE. The consultancy company helps individuals unlock their potential and creativity through training and allows them to be able to work and succeed more in future and within the different business sectors. The talk emphasised the importance of being creative in the 21st century.
The third speaker was a man from the company PERFORM, who works for a company that are the leading digital sports and content group. He came to speak to us about the importance of having having analysts and the importance of numerical data in the sports industry as well as the path needed to take. He also inspired us by telling us about the different opportunities that such jobs in this sector would provide us.
