Pomodoro Technique
Working all the time is an awful idea. We can only cram for so long before I hit a wall, unable to do anything else. Yes, brief water and lunch breaks can help, but it’s still far too easy to sit and work for hours without moving around — something that’s quickly being recognized as a serious health risk.
With our productivity and health at stake, it’s worth making an effort to split up our work day. “Pomodoro Technique” They’re timers that remind us to take a break once every 25 minutes.

Everyone has their own tales of doing work or studying all night, downing dangerous levels of caffeine, and rubbing their eyes at laptop or lecture notes. But after a while, extra studying/work doesn’t really help; we’re reading the same material, but our brain is so zapped that we won’t retain anything.
That’s what Francesco Cirillo discovered during his first year of university. After realizing he was getting distracted and not using his study time efficiently, he grabbed a tomato-shaped kitchen timer, set it for 10 minutes, and tried working solidly for those 10 minutes without doing anything else. And it worked — forcing himself to focus before rewarding himself with a break helped him get more done, even with the break time.
We use a timer to break our work into focused time blocks (usually 25 minutes) separated by a 5-minute break. After 4 consecutive working time blocks, take a longer break, around 15 or 20 minutes.

Each 25-minute work block is called a “Pomodoro.” The benefits of the Pomodoro Technique come from the frequent breaks, which help our mind stay fresh. The focused time blocks also force you to adhere to fixed limits, so you’ll be encouraged to complete a task more quickly, or in the case of a large task, spread it out over a number of Pomodoros.
The length of working and break times can vary depending on what you prefer, but the process remains the same:
- Start a timer
- Work until the timer rings
- Take a short break
- Every 4 Pomodoro (work periods) take a longer break
My own Experience;
Before doing this activity I was so lazy and wanna do some rest after thinking that I will do it latter. When I start this activity I felt some energy of doing the work and set the alarm, I thought I have to become productive so its urgent for me to do the work till the watch rings.
I started writing a blog and doing work on it, that is amazing its really difficult for me sometimes to doing a work with out a break. sometimes I do the work half hour and take the break of 2 hours. after using this technique I managed my time and done my work on time with out any stress of tension.

I reached my goal now, after following this technique feeling free from stress or about work tension. I have done my work on time.
