The Sum of all Geo-Strategic Follies (Part 2)
On Biden’s “feisty” State of the Union speech (March 8, 24), the U.S. president delineates the pretext for taking the road to global perdition: “If anybody in this room thinks Putin will stop in Ukraine, I assure you he will not,” …“We will not bow down,” Mr. Biden said. “I will not bow down.” One can’t get more “Blueneck” (R. Perle, “Prince of Darkness” reincarnates) then that - a combination of a fabricated neo-Domino Theory and perverse “Moral Clarity” crusade is giving history an option on WWIII.
The triumphant despicable NATO expansion; the asinine deterrence-destabilizing deployment of BMD systems on Russia’s borders; the boastful “NATO Lake” siege on St. Petersburg (Leningrad, once) and threatening Putin’s major second-strike capability forces based on the Kola peninsula — the sum of all NATO’s geopolitical and strategic follies (Putin’s Russia, evidently, has its own bag of humanity-endangering geo-strategic follies). The moral-historical conundrum is: assuming that the nuclear dice has been cast, should a Universalist (like myself) wish that going over The Brink will be confined to Europe and Russia or that the Mushrooms will reach the shores of the exceptional nation (which is making “a killing” on the Ukraine war)? Or maybe, with clutching teeth, wait for the second coming of this moral-leper, Trump?
