Cash Me Outside
How being disrespectful brought her a claim to fame
Danielle Bregoli was first brought onto the Dr. Phil show to address her “out-of-control” behavior towards her mother.
For the people who are regular Dr. Phil watchers, this is a common story, of a child who doesn’t respect their parents, but it wasn’t until she made a comment to the audience, “Cash me outside how bout dah,” when she proclaimed, “All these hoes laughin’ like there’s something funny,” that brought Danielle to the forefront of attention on social media.

Her mother then acts as her translator for Dr. Phil and the audience to explain that her daughter means, she is going to take this to the streets. Danielle then catches an attitude with her mother for translating and says that they can take the cameras outside if she wants to fight too.
I believe the disrespect seen here is something that you can only get in the white community if I must be frank. Danielle stated on television that she would fight her mother, something a person of color like myself would never dare to say in fear of the repercussions of what could happen for outright disrespecting my mother in that way.
It is obvious through watching videos of the show that the relationship between the two Bregoli women isn’t very good, but that does not excuse the fact that Danielle still disrespects her mother, steals from her and tries to run away from home like it is a sport.
Now while the point of this article isn’t about the parenting of Danielle’s mother, it is fair that we note she is partially to blame for Danielle’s inappropriate and disrespectful behavior and she probably could’ve done a better job.
Now, Danielle is not only disrespectful, and has a seventh grade education, she is still old enough to realize and be aware that she is also appropriating “street” culture with her “bad bitch mentality.”
With long nails, dyed hair, fake lashes, hoop earrings, gold chains, and “street slang” Danielle’s attempt to embody and claim both a culture and lifestyle that aren’t her are incredibly offensive.
Even Dr. Phil pointed out her improper grammar by asking if she completed the fifth grade, to acknowledge the fact that she probably does know how to speak properly as well.
Unfortunately, as media gets a hold of another internet famous “star,” celebrities even started to weigh in on Danielle’s behavior as disrespectful. Especially when someone on Twitter compared her to Cardi B, a star from Love and Hip Hop: New York, which immeadiately triggered Cardi’s response to saying that she would never disrespect her mother, and to not compare her to a child.
Kodak Black even had Danielle star in his latest video “Everything 1K” to glorify the lip-synching, cash-flashing, and public promotion of Danielle’s clothing line, “Cashmeoussidehowbouhdah,” all while sitting on top of someone’s Rolls Royce.
While 13-year-old Danielle has since returned to the Dr. Phil show, she still has a lot of growing to do, as she told Dr. Phil she made him famous just like Oprah.
Only time and education will tell. Hopefully Danielle will grow out of being a disrespectful teenager and use her platform to educate and promote messages of positivity instead of picking fights with other celebrities.
