30 percent of California’s forest firefighters are prisoners

Is everyone okay with the term “low-level felon”?
Low-level felon = poor, underprivileged = slavery.

Someone should define “low-level felon” and someone should find out if they are allowed to be hired to the same job once they are released.

Someone should also find out if a person with a “high-level misdemeanor” could be hired. Then someone should compare “high-level misdemeanor” to “low-level felony”.

Of course, we could go on pretending this program is a positive for all involved. If that is true, how many women are currently offered the same “opportunity”?
