Picture This...
I’m in class… the topic?
Neuroanatomy (um... sorry… what?! yeah... nah… mate!)
In effect, my brain is learning about how it is learning about learning.

Yes it’s ok you can go back and read that sentence again. Sit down if you must. Rub your eyes a few times. Squint and tilt your head to the side like a dog hearing a new sound. Still struggling? Well welcome to my life for the last three and a half months… A complete and utter mind f*ck!
Can you forgive me for being absent now? Hopefully you haven’t forgotten about me.

For those who are new to the blog, who maybe don’t know me personally. I’m studying my Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) degree or as I like to call it: a 4 year contract to pain, sweat (undue stress) and tears— and no I’m not talking about the clients. Well I mean… to an extent there is probably some of that from them too, but it can’t be both of us…
Just imagine walking into a consult room and seeing the client crying, the practitioner crying… Neither person knowing why or what is really going on, but yet somehow connecting to the situation on a deep level haha.
When I think of my degree, it’s like that gif of the kid being interviewed, where he starts off laughing and ends up crying.
Yep… you’ve now got a clear picture in your head of exactly what it is like to study Physiotherapy! Welcome to my world haha!
Anyway I digress… I swear I’m not a bad physiotherapy student!

Then in addition to this, my usual basketball commitments, a weekend in Tassie for a double-header, two weeklong tournaments in Queensland (where we won gold at both :P), saving lives at my job in the rock climbing gym (I kid, I kid), working at my first massage conference andddddddd a partridge in a pear tree its safe to say that I’ve barely had time to breath let alone write a half-witty blog worth reading.

But that is all about to change. In exactly 10 days 14 hours 17 minutes and 57 seconds (can you tell I’m counting) (probs not worth it as it will be very different by the time you read this but whatever) my exams will be done (I had my first one yesterday and it is safe to say that winning the Tour de France would have been easier). I quit my job last Tuesday anddddddd in 17 days 12 hours 56 minutes and 5 seconds I will be flying out to New Zealand (you can look forward to a ‘how many sheep does it take to change a lightbulb’ blog after that :P). But this is just the start, I’ve decided that after a pretty crappy last couple of years that I need to take this summer as a time to hit the metaphorical reset button, do the stuff I want to do and re-establish what makes me happy! And I can’t wait to share that with all of you!

Consider this blog like a long distance friendship, we may not get to see each other all the time. But when we do, nothing has changed… We can talk for hours as if it was only yesterday!

So yes, only a short and snappy check-in for today!
But consider this just the blurb for some exciting work to come!

Beeeeeeeep.
