My favorite restaurant in Hong Kong is 有緣小敍. It specializes in Shanxi cuisine. My favorite dish that I crave here is “biang biang mein” which is homemade lasagne type flat noodles mixed with a scrumptious chili sauce, vegetables and pork ribs.
The two chefs are husband and wife. The wife is from shanxi and her husband, being able to speak both Cantonese and mandarin fluently, I think is from Hong Kong. The mother in law also helps out when it gets especially busy.
When we are especially hungry, we also get the nan burger, a flat bread with minced lamb or pork, and marinated potato inside.
