It can be a slippery slope and a degree of caution is warranted. Statues of Lee and Stonewall Jackson are tributes to traitors and mainly erected at times of racial unrest. Move them to museums or battlefields or cemeteries. All over the south there is no shortage of confederate remnants. Removing some statues will not erase history
