This makes a lot of sense and I appreciate your perspective. Full disclosure, Iam voting to stop Trump, and as a cisgender white female I don’t share your degree of alarm around a Clinton presidency. And I have posted about white privilege as the impetus behind considering a third party vote or abstention, because I have seen that frequently. I have white, middle to upper class cisgender male and female friends who are treating their decision so cavalierly, with no consideration of the valid points you raised in your article. They’re dabbling in the “quaint” idea of voting third party, despite knowing even basic talking points about neither the Green nor Libertarian platform. It is not a choice based on any knowledge, it seems much more like a knee jerk, immature, uninformed decision. So I just want to be clear, the white privilege thing is happening out there, too. I am going to share your post as well in an effort to provide multiple looks at this issue. Much appreciation for your perspective.
