Spartan, a startup ourselves, was founded five years ago based on the single idea that we can provide unique value to the best entrepreneurs in Crypto. Unlike most VCs, we built a platform that offers both crypto savvy capital and world-class professional advisory work. We also raised capital from a unique LP base globally so that these LPs can leverage their expansive networks for our portfolio companies; our investment research team spends endless hours deep diving into the latest applications and technologies in Web3; our advisory team brings over 30 years’ professional experience from the world’s top tier firms to help our Web3 startup founders.
We pride ourselves in our ability to roll up our sleeves and become part of our clients’ teams during the times they need us the most — be it launching tokens, designing distribution, developing business strategies, communicating with investors and even helping with the hiring of critical team members in Asia, where we are based. Spartan Labs will focus on working with the best entrepreneurs and operators to build together with our portfolio companies and clients.
For such an important initiative, we knew we had to find someone with a unique experience, expertise and network to lead this — we are excited to share that Shaun Heng will join Spartan Group as Head of Spartan Labs.
Shaun has a rare combination of experiences that make him the perfect fit to lead Labs at Spartan. He is an experienced company builder and is passionate and knowledgeable about Web3 and crypto. He also has an extensive network among both the crypto community and traditional startups and VCs especially in Singapore and SEA. All of these will be especially helpful for Web2 companies and operators when they need guidance in transitioning Into Web3. He’s an entrepreneur, a team builder, a growth expert, and a financial professional with years of experience. Everyone who has worked with Shaun has been impressed by his creativity and his execution driven approach. We will put our full force behind Shaun to support the success of Labs.
