This article reminds me a bit of the book, “Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance” and what I got from it is that there is a middle ground between the subjective and objective perspectives, as we use both the aesthetics influenced by our biology and our civilization (subjective) in conjunction with the laws of Nature (objective) and technology.

Your idea really hits the mark with how a developer thinks, (1) as the level of abstraction required leads to potentially limitless creativity (2) within the limited vocabulary of a particular programming language. Great way to help managers understand why the development grunts need some understanding and love.
