Constructivism

Constructivism started in Russia and flourished at the beginning of the 20th century. However, it died down in the 1920s due to the increasing hostility to avant-garde art in Russia, but in the West this stream of art made it to the 50s. Most importantly, it influenced some major trends like Bauhaus.
