1.4 Beta build 3 pushed to GP

As always, today we are pushing another update to Google Play Beta branch and here we have description of new features. In this build we have added much new information and updated the old one.

Updated navigation

We have updated navigation of Castro with Navigation View and new categories for information. There are two new categories: Sensors and Camera. We also divided the old large categories to smaller ones. For example, the old category Network divided to Operator and Wi-Fi. There are many changes associated with the new navigation.

Camera’s returning

Yes, Camera’s information is back, with improved code, which should work properly now. One of the most annoying bug, with wrong resolution on many devices have been also fixed. New code no longer affects another Camera’s applications.

Work on the sensors is completed. For now Castro support such sensors: Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Magnetic field, Proximity, Light and Pressure. We are going to add more sensors in future updates.

Other important changes

  • Added information about Virtual Machine, Root, BusyBox and Time Zone in System
  • Added information about DHCP Server in Wi-Fi category
  • Updated Local IP information in IPv4 and IPv6 formats in Network

Plans for future

This was the last 1.4 beta build. Now we are going to prepare 1.4 releasing in main theard. During this period, we will improve performance, reduce app’s weight, fix finded bugs and make other small improvments.
