Please give us a summary of your Career.

I joined Bel Air in 2006 and worked till 2011 as a Dietitian and Mess Manager. Later, I left my job and joined Inshape gym in Kota as Branch manager and Nutritionist. In 2016, I rejoined Bel Air at the same post.

Please describe your current Job Responsibilities as a Mess Manager.

As a Mess Manager I keep a check on the diets of the patients. If someone is on a liquid diet, Diabetic diet, soft diet, I have to take care of that and what time they should get food on time.
My main role is as Mess Manager. I have to take care of the mess. I decide what has to be cooked and in how much quantity.
Refilling the stock and order things which are needed for the meal are some of the other aspects of my job.

1. You talk to so many people and teach your patient healthy habits.
2. It is satisfying to see patients progressing.
3. You get to see many work environment.
4. One positive aspect is that you can be self-employed.

What are some of the negatives that you would want someone to be aware of when considering a career in your Profession?

1. Sometimes it becomes difficult to manage patients.
2. Managing the diets of so many patients at a time is also a task.
3. If some patient requires you at late night, you have to attend them keeping all your personal things aside.
4. Sometimes people behave in a rude manner, dealing with it is difficult.

Now you have several years of work experience and you have seen professions of others. If you are taken back to 10th/12th class and allowed to pick a profession, then which profession will you pick and why?

I would have become a beautician because that is a fast growing industry and it interests me a lot.
Back in my hometown, I have received training also but once you get into a profession like this it becomes difficult to come out.
