Hold and rotate a granite craving of Ramses the II, examine the bust of Marcus Aurelius, and place these ancient objects on the ground around you to curate your very own personalized exhibit.

3D Museum Viewer for the MERGE Cube marries world-renowned ancient works of art with 21st augmented reality technology to allow you hold and interact with these pieces in new ways. The app, released in December 2018, features two dozen works of art scanned from the British and Louvre Museums.

Exposing students to art and museums may have long term effects on how they interrupt and appreciate art.

According to a study conducted by the Smithsonian Institute, “Experiences young children have in museums may shape their thinking, values, aspirations, artistic appreciation, understanding of science, and identities throughout their lives.”

MERGE plans to add more artwork to 3D Museum Viewer in the coming months. Download 3D Museum Viewer for free from the MERGE Miniverse.
