Edenhorde: A New Chapter

Dear Edenhorde Community,

We hope this message finds you well. It has been an amazing journey since we first launched Edenhorde, and we are grateful for the unwavering support from our dedicated community.

Today, we would like to take a moment to reflect and propose some changes to the way Edenhorde is presented. At the start, we were filled with excitement and embarked on an eight-chapter narrative arc, inspired by the feedback and enthusiasm from our community.

Through this journey, we have been continuously learning and growing.

The community has blossomed into a group of ambitious and caring individuals, each contributing in their own unique way. Some members have even become more actively involved through our Guardianship program, becoming true ambassadors of the project.

However, we feel that the expectations for Edenhorde have become misaligned with our ambitions. This update is intended to realign everyone on the vision of Merit Circle for Edenhorde, how we plan to shape it, and what to expect in the future.

Project Amginea

Get ready for some excitement! Some of you may remember the intriguing challenges and puzzles from Edenhorde’s early days. With Project Amginea, we aim to recapture the excitement, mystery, and fulfillment from those early days and make it the foundation for the development for Edenhorde.

Of course, we can’t reveal all the details just yet — that would take away the fun. But to give you a taste of what’s in store and manage your expectations, here’s what you can expect:

• Project Amginea will be an annual recurring concept
• It will be closely tied to the foundation of Edenhorde and will experiment with various forms of media and storytelling
• It will serve as an evolution of the first narrative arc, with more gaming elements and opportunities
• The goal of this project is to attract a new, additional audience

Integration of the Edenhorde IP

One of our goals for 2023 is to bring your Edenhorde characters to life in new and exciting ways. Our aim is to explore opportunities with game developers and metaverse projects to let Edenhorde holders use their characters in different games and virtual worlds.

One example of this is Canverse, which offers games like checkers and chess where you can use your Edenhorde characters as game pieces. This is a simple and fun way to interact with your NFT and bring it to life in new ways.

Our hope is that by offering these opportunities to our community, we can deepen the connection between Edenhorde and its holders, and bring new excitement and creativity to the project. The above is an ambition, but technically difficult for many games, so no promises on this one, but know that we’ll always keep it in the back of our minds when in discussion with projects.

Edenhorde Eclipse

We know that you’re all excited about the release of the card game that we announced, and we totally get why some of you might be feeling a little challenged with the wait. But let us tell you, the journey to get here has been an exciting one!

A few months back, we had the chance to playtest the game with some of our most passionate community members. It was a blast and we learned a ton from the feedback you all gave us. While some of it wasn’t exactly what we were hoping to hear, it helped us make the game even better and back to the drawing board we went.

Thereafter the development process has encountered some challenges. The main developer on the project switched positions, and another development roadmap had to be established. Our priority remains to deliver a high-quality product that meets both our standards and those of our community. These setbacks have pushed back the timeline for release, and we currently do not have a specific date to share.

While we know that this news may be disappointing, rest assured that development will continue. Orange Pill, one of the core contributors of The has recently hired a new CTO with additional development power on its way. With these new hires, we hope to have the right people in place to see the card game come closer to reality.

We can’t give you an exact release date yet, but trust us, the end result will be worth the wait. We’ll make sure to keep you updated as we have more information to share.

Conclusion

We continue to welcome others to build on Edenhorde’s IP, but our focus will remain solely on delivering the annual project Amginea as core contributors. While we are committed to fulfilling promises such as the card game, a strict timeline cannot be guaranteed.

We understand that some members of our community may have been looking forward to seeing Edenhorde expand into new projects such as movies and real-life events, but this is something we cannot commit to at this time. Our mission remains the same: to show gratitude to our community and experiment with creative concepts.

We will continue to support community initiatives that align with our resources, but our focus will be solely on the annual project Amginea for Edenhorde. This approach helps us maintain a clear direction and purpose.

We believe the above explained approach creates a better aligned focus on Edenhorde and clear alignment for all parties involved. We hope that by reading the update above, everyone knows what to, and what not to expect.
