Interesting fact about Mount Everest

Mount Everest is the highest mountain in the world at 8,848 meters (29,035feet).The summit is the border of Nepal to south and Tibet on the north. The local Tibetan people, called Sherpa, call it “Chomolungma” which means “Mother Goddess of the Universe” and in Nepal, it is called “Sagarmatha” which means “Goddess of the Sky“. It is over 60 million years old.

Climbing to Mountain Everest has two different main routes: one approaching the summit from the southeast in Nepal (known as the “standard route”) and the other from the north in Tibet. Overall, more than 600 climbers from 20 countries have climbed to the summit by various routes from both north and south. Climbers’ ages have ranged from nineteen years to sixty. At least 100 people have stale, most commonly by avalanches, falls in crevasses, cold, or the effects of thin air.

Besides this risk, many dream of achieving the peak of Everest. Everest has many known and hidden facts. Some are mention below:

Two men claimed Everest for 21 times

Mountaineer named Apa Sherpa and Phurba Tashi hold the joint record for most Everest ascents. The team has each managed to reach the summit an impressive 21 times. Phurba reached the top of the world three times in 2007 alone, and Apa has successfully summited the mountain almost every year between 1990 and 2011.Apa Sherpa and the Phurvba Tashi are the two climbers who climb the highest peak(Mount Everest) 21 times.

Coupled to marry on Everest

In 2005, a Nepalese couple became the first to marry on top of Mount Everest.

Climbing Everest cost more money in spite of its expensive, more people than ever are trying to peak it. In 2012, German mountaineer Ralf Dujmovits captured a shocking image showing hundreds of climbers lining up to reach the summit. Ralf had made the decision to turn back at the South Col of the mountain due to poor weather conditions when he spotted the painfully long line.

More than 240 people died in Attempting Everest

Various disasters like Avalanches, rockslides, blizzards, falls, altitude sickness, freezing temperatures, exhaustion and combinations thereof have all proven deadly, particularly in the so-called “death zone” above 26,000 feet. Since getting them down are exhausting and dangerous, most of the Human dead body are remain up there. Here is some list of the dead people from the different country.

The first flight over Mount Everest

Two people namely Charles Douglas — Hamilton (pilot) and David Fowler Macintyre (fellow pilot) successfully flew the Westland by plane over Mount Everest making this flight the first one to fly over this summit in 1993.

The oldest people to climb the Mount Everest

Yuichiro Miura (Japan) is the oldest person who climbs the Mount Everest at the age of 80 years old. Generally People start thinking about retiring at the age of 60–65. But this was not the case for Yuichiro Miura.
