Not many people saw a dragon’s life cycle. Honestly, no one saw it. Maybe it’s because one dragon’s life lasts during several human generations, who knows.

However, according to lots of legends, there are 4 main stages in their life cycle.

1. Embarking on a wing

First of all, a little dragon have to study how to use its wings. You can hardly see young dragons who can’t fly, because in this stage they are pretty vulnerable and can be trapped easily.

And even after they embark on a wing, they fly in deserted lands only, they still can’t defend themselves until they learn how to…

2. Breathing fire

This is the most fearful dragon’s ability. Without breathing fire a dragon is still just a flying lizard. To learn this science the dragon has to discover its passions and follow them bravely. This creature isn’t capable of betraying itself. Not following its dreams can literally turn the dragon into a stone.

And this stage is most known among people, because they can see dragons around cities only on this stage.

3. Finding a pearl

However dragons are much deeper than just flying fire-breathing snakes. Every dragon is capable of finding its pearl. It’s a sacral device, it’s the most valued dragon’s treasure. Not gold, not a kidnapped princesses. In fact, dragons aren’t born with their pearls. Pearl appears after the dragon finds the source of its soul. Not every dragon starts this search. But if it does, then the reward is truly unprecedented.

4. Sacrificing the pearl

Only dragons really know what “a sacrifice” means. Because there is only one sacrifice for a dragon: its pearl. They can retrieve the treasure before treasure, the sanctity before sanctity, the whole before the part. They can yield up their meaning for the great story, perfect verses or true love.

That’s why in my opinion dragons are the most beautiful creatures on this planet and I hope to be born a dragon in my next life.
