On behalf of the Metabase team, we would like to thank our contributors, early supporters and advisors as industry leaders who have provided us with invaluable insights across different aspects within and outside the GameFi industry. We are just a few steps away from releasing the first GameFi mobile application that will allow players to play blockchain games for free, without any knowledge of blockchain.
As of Q1 2022, Metabase has accumulated more than:
- 20,000+ Community members worldwide;
- 10,000+ Axie Infinity teams to be provided by multiple guilds in the pipeline;
- 10+ Off-ramp partners including licensed Indonesian e-wallet services such as OVO, GoPay and LinkAja;
- 10+ Game titles, protocols and GameFi projects.
Our Journey
In 2021, Metabase began as one of the first few Axie Infinity guilds out of Indonesia, holding a community consisting of more than 5,000 organic blockchain gaming enthusiasts. We built ourselves a scholarship program with over 150 Axie Infinity players (or also known as scholars) from multiple countries, providing them with the ability to earn money from playing blockchain games using our in-game assets (NFT).
Through our guild, we identified that while the vast majority of conventional players in emerging markets are interested in earning money from playing blockchain games, they require upfront capital to purchase in-game assets (NFT) and at the same time understand complex blockchain concepts, which many of them are not financially and educationally equipped.
On the other hand, as we tried to scale our guild, we later discovered that the issue doesn’t sit in the funding of new players but in the player onboarding process as well as the human factor for Guilds to recruit, maintain and manage their players’ performance and motivations.
And that’s where Metabase steps in.
Our Mission
With the funds raised from our contributors, we will boost the development of our proprietary technological solutions to aid the scalability of guilds and providing frictionless accessibility for players across emerging markets.
Players can rent assets from any guild within the Metabase mobile application to play blockchain games for free and redeem their earnings in real-world value using our off-ramp services, without interacting with cryptocurrency wallets.
Metabase is also inherently building a proprietary platform that will assist guilds in recruiting, maintaining and managing players. In addition, Metabase also provides a mentorship program that allows qualified players to grow teams under them, which in turn will help scale the guilds.
We hope that through these advancements, we are able to extrapolate value from blockchain games into tangible value for players, to ultimately enable financial empowerment.
