1. Gaming, NFTs & Metaverse Are Huge Markets

It’s not just the gaming market, which is already worth hundreds of billions. It’s the NFT market too. NFT sales hit $27 billion in 2021, up from a mere $400 million the year before. That’s a 67.5x increase in one year!

It’s hard to predict NFT sales numbers in 2022 (or any numbers for that matter), but even so, we do believe total sales will easily eclipse 2021 numbers. Some experts believe the NFT market will reach $1 trillion within the decade.

We’re also looking to get a piece of the metaverse pie.

The market value of the global metaverse was $47.68 billion in 2020. When you factor in NFTs, which will be the economic lifeblood of the metaverse, the metaverse is projected to be worth around $830 billion in 2028. That equates to a growth rate of 43.3% from now through 2028.

Interestingly enough, the predicted numbers of the market value of both NFTs and the metaverse seem to coincide, but we don’t think that’s a coincidence. NFTs will find their broadest application in the metaverse (from simple avatars to art that moves). And the metaverse will find an ever-green source of fuel in tokens of human creativity.

2. MetaChess Aims to Take Chess Players to the Metaverse

According to this UN article, there are 605 million chess players in the world that play the game regularly. Some estimates put it at 1 billion chess players. There are also 77 million+ registered users on Chess.com, according to their Wikipedia article.

If we compare that to a really popular game like Fortnite, we can find stats that indicate Fortnite has around 30 million players logging in daily. PUBG measures over 40 million of them and Roblox is about the same. Chess decimates those numbers.

If we take a look at P2E token stats over at Coinmarketcap, we can see that the market cap is over $15B. Again, we’re talking about big numbers here.

Given all those raw stats, it’s quite easy to see how MetaChess could hold its own with the top players of the P2E world.

3. MetaChess Has So Many Creative Ways to Earn

You don’t just earn tokens for achieving a mission in the game. At MetaChess, we diversified how you earn income on our platform, and plan to add more ways to play to earn as we expand our metaverse.

4. MetaChess Has Impressive Tokenomics

We’ve worked hard to ensure our tokenomics rewards every player in our ecosystem, from players and coaches to gamers on digging quests. We’ve also implemented features to support the health and sustainability of the SHAH token.

This is because good tokenomics improve the financial sustainability of our platform. We’ve set up the tokenomics to ensure a healthy flow of currency into the ecosystem, as well as continued circular flow of the currency within our metaverse. See the image below.

To ensure that the project has enough liquidity and that the token is healthy, the MetaChess team has also set up a token reserve, as well as implemented staking options for the community to support the project and earn rewards.

Vesting periods have been extended as well. This holds the team, advisors and community accountable, and helps ensure the token has less volatility early on. With longer vesting periods, we’re less likely to have the initial pump and dump that other projects experience.

5. MetaChess Will Be Cross-Chain & Cross-Platform

We wish to expand options for our users and that’s why MetaChess will be both cross-chain and cross-platform.

Being cross-chain will ensure that our users don’t have to abandon their preferred chains to engage with our platform in an easy and rewarding way.
Being cross-platform will enable our users to access the games from any device they happen to be using, be it an Android or an iOS device, a Mac or a PC.

We plan on making MetaChess available to all. After all, it’s the 2020s, and chess and tech are merging like never before.

6. MetaChess Has Some Super Fun Game Modes

We wanted to expand beyond traditional chess to make our platform more inclusive and welcoming to other types of gamers. If you want to have fun and earn SHAH tokens, but don’t want to play traditional chess, you still have other ways to enjoy our platform.

MetaChess Warfront: This is the 3D version of the game that has human characters and displays different battle modes.
Treasure Quest: This mode is not about playing chess at all. Out of 64 squares, 8 have treasures hidden underneath them. You have 6 attempts to find a square with a treasure.
Captivity Game Mode: In this mode, characters can take opponents captive instead of eliminating them. You can earn points over time after capturing a certain number of opponents. Those points add up to earn you tokens and NFTs.

MetaChess plans to offer even more game modes beyond traditional 2D and 3D chess matches. As the community grows, you’ll see more opportunities emerge.

MetaChess is the first 3D multiplayer play-to-earn (P2E) and NFT metaverse chess game. The platform is in 2D and 3D. The 3D version will be divided into two.
