MetaDerby’s Free-to-Play Launch Guide & Giveaway!
It’s finally here! The moment we’ve all been waiting for!
MetaDerby is pleased to announce that we’re finally bringing our game to gamers worldwide on June 22nd, at 12pm UTC.
It has always been our mission to utilize the free-to-play game model in giving play-to-earn access to players around the world, to share Web3 gaming with everybody.
With exciting new game modes coming to MetaDerby like Death Racing, Room Mode, and Weekly Tournaments, now is a better time than ever to start playing.
Additionally, we’ll be giving out 15 AVAX and 15,000 $HOOF to celebrate our free-to-play launch! To qualify:

With that said, we want to give you the info you need to know to claim your free-to-play starter horse and begin playing MetaDerby! Here’s a quick guide on getting started:
Claim Your Starter Horse
- Visit https://metaderby.com
2. Click ‘GET HORSE’
3. Connect your wallet
4. Click ‘Verify’ on the ‘Post a tweet for verification’ step
5.1 Click ‘Verify to verify your Twitter account
5.2 Authorize MetaDerby to access your Twitter account
5.3 Click ‘Post’ to post a Tweet to your Twitter account
6.1 Follow the MetaDerby Twitter account
6.2 Click ‘Follow’ in the upper right side of the screen
7.1 Click ‘Join’ to join the MetaDerby Discord server
7.2 Enter your username, click ‘Continue’, and follow the steps to verify yourself in the MetaDerby Discord server
8.1 Click ‘Subscribe’ to enter your email address
8.2 Enter your email address and click ‘Subscribe’
9. Click ‘Get’ to claim your Starter Horse
10. Complete the CAPTCHA
11. Click ‘View Horse’
12. Click ‘Connect Wallet’ to view your horse in the MetaDerby game and start playing!
And that’s it! You’re ready to play Metaderby!
To enter races, you’ll need some $HOOF token to pay the entry fee. To purchase $HOOF token, you can either:
- Go to the ‘Assets’ page and click ‘Swap’ to enter the Trader Joe website
- Visit the Trader Joe website directly to swap for $HOOF (https://traderjoexyz.com/trade)
