To me it’s sad that blacks or any other ‘minority’ accept being referred to as that. Even though it’s a statistical thing, to me it suggests a sort of mental acceptance of being less relevant than the majority.

It’s also puzzling to me why any black person would take on a job like “Chief Diversity Officer” or “Equality Officer” or help white owned/founded companies in any way with “diversity” or “inclusion”.

As a previous comment suggested businesses tend to have the culture of those who started it and to some extent those they exist to serve.

Instead of helping these cultures with their ‘we are not diverse but still making money’ problems, I think so called minorities should focus on making sure their culture has business of comparable value going on.

It sounds cliche but it makes real sense.
