The MetisChicks NFT collection
The Metischicks NFT collection is the first art NFT collection created on the MetisDAO Andromeda chain. Our inspiration is deeply rooted in the MetisDAO universe.
Why Metis ?
We chose the Andromeda chain because of blazing fast, low cost transactions and its high regard for decentralisation. We also love the upcoming DAC infrastructure and native NFT storage features. In fact, we will be looking to use them as soon as they become available. All in all, we think the various advances brought by Metis will have a tremendous impact on NFTs and we are excited to be able to jump in early.
Three linked collections
The MetisChicks collection will consist of
- a generative collection, the MetisChicks Classic collection,
- a handcrafted collection, the MetisChicks Custom collection,
- and a merchandise collection, the MetisChicks Merchandise collection,
all painstakingly and lovingly designed in-house.
The MetisChicks Classic collection
The MetisChicks Classic collection will consist of 5,000 unique NFTs. They will be created from a combination of over 100 traits with varying rarities, and will be generated in high resolution. Initially, the NFTs will be still images, but once integration with the upcoming native Metis NFT storage layer will be possible, these will be upgraded to animated images. Though we may start upgrading a select number of NFTs before that.

The MetisChicks Custom collection and the MetisChicks Merchandise collection
The Custom collection will comprise 250 original digital works featuring the MetisChicks and handcrafted by our very own founding designer Axoss. Later, these will also be complemented by the MetisChicks Merchandise collection.
How will the launch take place ?
Whitelisted pre-sale and public pre-sale
The launch will involve the first ever whitelisted art NFT collection hidden mint on the MetisDAO Andromeda chain.
Whitelisted users will be invited to take part in the whitelist pre-sale stage. It will be immediately followed by a public pre-sale, to give everyone a chance to take part to the initial mint.
Please note, only a portion of the collection will be offered during these two pre-sales. We want to encourage everyone to join us early, and so we are pleased to announce they will take place at an initial reduced minting price. With the whitelisted pre-sale offering a slightly higher discount even.
Hidden / Reveal phases
Both the whitelist pre-sale and the public pre-sale will take place with the NFTs hidden. The end of the pre-sales will be followed by a reveal event. We are in discussions with Tofu for listing and do not yet know whether it will take place before or after the reveal.
Social tasks and whitelisting
Whitelist spots will be awarded to the top social task contributors. A drawing will take place in case of any ties. Social tasks will be set out in a Gleam competition.

- Public pre-sale: Friday 6-May 6pm UTC to Friday 13-May 6pm UTC or until all pre-sale NFT sold
- Reveal: Friday 13-May 6pm UTC or before if pre-sale closes early
