Grated fresh ginger
The Cost of Cooking Chicken in Salsa With Couscous and Avocado
Nicole Dieker

Chefs & foodies may call me a heretic for this, but I LOVE the convenience of grated ginger in a jar. I bought a jar at our local asian market a couple of years ago, and it’s still going strong without the freezer burn that raw frozen ginger would have picked up by now. I also do the prechopped Spice World garlic, because if the first step in every recipe is “Get out a knife and mince tiny sticky smelly things that will cling to your knife with the tenacity of a thousand toddlers”, I will pass HARD on that idea. But if I’ve made it easy on myself, I’m much more likely to get to cookin’.
