WHY DO INDIAN TRUCK DRIVERS LOVE TO DECORATE THEIR TRUCKS ?

Indian truck drivers love to decorate their trucks with clothes, bangles, lights and other decorating items. More often on Indian roads we can see trucks with quotes and musical horn which seeks attention of people. Not only in India but in neighbouring countries of India also people love to make their trucks attention seeker.

But why they love so much to make their Trucks looks different ?

It is not just India or its neighbouring countries people from all over the world make changes to their trucks according to their need or passion, like in USA people love straight pipes.

An average Indian truck driver go home for only 3–4 days in a month, which means he spends 9 to 11 months on his truck in a year. That is why they make their trucks like a home rather than just a truck cabin, and that is very similar to making our cubicles, workplace, laptop and smartphone according to us, for them their truck is all this.

Sometimes people decorate their trucks for their inner satisfaction and attention seeking like writing funny quotes, wheel cups, putting different colours of light, which is not good at all for others on road.

Hanging rubber tube or clothes near the wheels keep cleaning the tyres from outer side in case of tyre puncture or any other issue, when they have to open the tyre, the tyre is clean of dirt and easy to treat because in India truck drivers don’t use gloves. Similarly use as sun visor in cabin

Why don’t Indian trucks look like USA trucks ?

In India truck transportation business is not so organised. Therefore, Brand identity like FedEx, Maersk, Delhivery hasn’t evolved yet in a large scale. When that happens we definitely see changes in Indian trucks also.
