Advice to PR people emailing reporters
If you’re going to go to the trouble of pretending we’re friends …

… then take the time to truly customize your pitches and don’t use some sort of email list merge system.
An unsubscribe link at the bottom negates all your hard work.

When I see that unsubscribe link — especially at the end of fake-personalized email — I use it.
If you’re gonna mass-mail something to reporters, be transparent. Lose the personalization. It just makes our relationship seem so … cheap.
P.S. There’s a comma after “Hi” in “Hi, Charlie.”
