Samsung QLED: The Visionary Revolutions
Necessity is the mother of all invention. As we step in to 2017, we have no choice but to upgrade in technological innovation. Samsung is at its forefront with its unveiling of a new televisual cutting-edge technology, the QLED Television line-up.
The QLED television is giving more life and meaning to picture quality, design and overall style of the Samsung television. Before we unravel what Samsung has in store for us with its new creation, let us understand what exactly the QLED television is.
The Q stands for a new level of the Quantum Dot screen, where the Quantum Dots have been wrapped in a metal alloy that enable the television to have a brighter display and show off a wider range of color with a full color volume.
The QLED television line-up features three models:
* The Q9F series which is flat
* The Q8C series which is curved
* The Q7 series which is both flat and curved in design
These series of televisions are spectacular in terms of design and display. The picture quality is nothing short of perfect and is something like a real-life scene.
General overview of the QLED television
The QLED television boasts brightness levels that can peak to up to 1500 and 2000 nits. The Quantum Dot structure has now enabled the LCD panel in the television to redesign in such a way that the Quantum Dots are hit by lights in multiple angles, as opposed to one direction like before. This enables an increased range of view at any angle and distance from the screen.
The range of QLED televisions have a True RGB feature which provide them with a wider range of colors, while strengthening their durability and energy efficiency.
The Smart TV factor is also one of the features to look out for in the QLED television. The Smart Hub has now been upgraded to a point where it knows its owner, in terms of viewing preferences, and are able to provide important information and personalizing this information for the viewer. The remote has also been upgraded to be able to operate both the television and cable box in one touch. This is because of the QLED TVs ability to detect devices connected to it.
A deeper look into the QLED TV
The Q9F Series
This television series has a strong, well-built body with a flat screen. This has taken to account that not everyone likes curved television screens. The display I saw was the Samsung Q9F 88” model.
It was hanging from an easily installable wall mount. This is not the only display Samsung has to offer, however. There is also an Easel Studio’ stand, a Gravity stand and a bar-shaped stand.
This is a good variety of choices for different audiences who prefer different styles. All of them elegantly hold the television in place in any room.
I particularly like the wall mount as it has a plush fit to the wall giving the display an artistic look and would be fantastic for any home as it makes it look like décor.
The television does not have a host of cables that make the connection area look messy. It instead comes with separate connections.
The Q9F television is so suave that I almost missed the body’s framework while staring at it on the wall.
The picture quality is so sharp, precise and defined that the main focus when I walked into the room was the television display.
Furthermore, you can walk in a 180-degree arc without the picture quality getting distorted or losing the field of view.
It has a brightness of up to 2000 nits, an impressive upgrade, compared to the previous SUHD model, KS9500, that has 1400 nits.
In addition, no matter the display, light or dark, the television has clear and crisp visuals and its brightness and color frames make pictures look real life rather than televised.
You have the overview. Samsung’s QLED televisions have a backlighting that will compete with rival counterparts whose televisions have no backlighting, for example, OLEDs.
