Lana Del Rey has released the music video for “Blue Banisters,” the title track from her next album. In the visual, Del Rey enacts some of the song’s lyrics, riding a John Deere vehicle and painting her banisters blue. Watch the video below.
Blue Banisters is Lana Del Rey’s second album of 2021, following March’s Chemtrails Over the Country Club. The new record — out this Friday, October 22 — includes “Blue Banisters,” “Text Book,” “Wildflower Wildfire,” and “Arcadia,” which got an alternate music video earlier this month.

Lana Del Rey has detailed her next studio album Blue Banisters, which finally arrives October 22. She has also shared the LP’s latest single. This one’s titled “Arcadia,” and Del Rey wrote and produced it with Drew Erickson. Watch Del Rey’s self-directed “Arcadia” video below.
“Arcadia” follows three other singles the singer-songwriter released together in May: “Blue Banisters,” “Wildflower Wildfire,” and “Text Book.” All three songs, as well as “Arcadia,” are featured on Blue Banisters. Find the album’s tracklist and artwork below.
Lana Del Rey announced Blue Banisters in late April and originally suggested it would come out July 4. She had also teased something called Rock Candy Sweet, but no other details followed.
Between 2019’s Norman Fucking Rockwell! and the more recent Chemtrails Over the Country Club, Lana Del Rey published Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass, her first collection of poetry, along with an audiobook counterpart she produced with Antonoff.
Lana Del Rey’s new album Blue Banisters, which she originally said would be available on July 4, now has a release date that is “TBD.”
“Album out later later,” she wrote in a Saturday night (July 3) update to fans on social media, where she shared the Blue Banisters album art and a music video teaser for a new, as-yet-untitled single in the meantime. Del Rey says the song, in which she can be heard singing “My body is a map of L.A.,” will be “out soonish.”
“Have a good fourth,” she added. After she posted the update, “Lana” was trending on Twitter.
