Market Place Integration in KREALOGI App— UX Case Study
Brief: Provide a feature that connects the application to users’ marketplace accounts and tracks their online product sales
Note: This project is part of UI/X Training program by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology of Indonesia in collaboration with Skilvul and Krealogi as the challenge partner. Official Krealogi team might have developed this fiture, Our team (Ricaldi, Benediktus, and Myself) just create our own concept
Problem
Krealogi by Du Anyam is an app to support small businesses in Indonesia. Using this application, Users can record operational activities and plan their business strategy.
Krealogi already has a number of features: Sales recording, expense reports, inventory management, and now it wants to add Marketplace Integration as a new feature.
This new feature allows you to easily track your product sales from your marketplace account, such as Shopee, Tokopedia, Blibli, Lazada, etc. You can also add products to the marketplace by simply clicking on the Krealogi app.
Goals
- To create a marketplace integration feature
- To simply add their online product catalog to the marketplace
- To allow users to track their online product sales from their marketplace account by using Krealogi.
Our Proposal
We do not try to overhaul the existing Krealogi app, but we will add a subtle and useful feature inside the existing menu since Krealogi has already given an unused page to create a marketplace integration.
This feature will enable the user to create new products, sell them online to the marketplace, add the online product stocks and get notifications about their online sales by only clicking on Krealogi.
Our Team and Role
Ricaldi Farshall, Benediktus Bimo Agung Nugroho, and I work together and have no specific role in the UX research and creating the designs, but here’s what I do:
- Brainstorm and research the user’s need
- Create the component and style guide
- Design the User Interface
UX Flow
1 — Define
Before we’re going through, we explore the existing feature of Krealogi. Based on our finding and detail brief from Krealogi, we find some information:
User Persona
People aging 20–40 years old are small business owner, especially in craft and use smart phone in daily life
Market: Small business owner in Indonesia
We take Notes that
- Most Krealogi users are small business owner and not really tech savvy, they need a simple interface to use
- Market place integration is a new feature and only a few apps implement this feature, we need to ensure user can easily use the feature
2 — Solution Design
Sketches
The sketches help to outline and give a simple visualization before we do the user flow and wire frame
Userflow
Mapping the basic flow of the app help us to figure each step on the path the users will take throughout the solution.
During the wireframe process, we found some scenarios that might user does when use the app and we develop the the following:
- Scenario 1: user links the Krealogi to the market place account
- Scenario 2: user creates new product and sells it online to the marketplace
- Scenario 3: user adds/reduces online stocks in marketplace
- Scenario 4: user has already a product stock and want to sell it online
Scenario — 1
First thing to do to integrate the Krealogi to the market place is connecting the account. We provide 2 ways to link the market place account, you can click either “Gudang” or “Akun”.
Scenario — 2
By creating a new product, you can also sell it directly to your marketplace
Scenario — 3
Updating the online stocks by using Krealogi
Scenario — 4
You have already a product stock and want to sell it online
Prototype
Conclusion
Krealogi is a helpful app to local business. It provides sales recording, expense reports, inventory management that really needed by business owner. With marketplace integration, Krealogi will become a powerful app. User does not need to open many market place app to add or update the online stock.
We realize that this concept is not a perfect result. We need improvement from both UI and UX research. If you have any advice, please let me now
Thank You!!!
