Why is it so important for species to evolve faster than ever?

Hopefully Charles Darwin will not mind my audacity, but passive evolution and millions of years is no good for us any longer.

Don’t take me wrong, the book entitled “On The Origin of The Species” is brilliant and the theory of evolution by Charles Darwin has opened many doors for scientists and society as a whole. But one must ask, now what? What does the future hold for the species?

The theory I present here is AE, aka Advancing Evolution. AE is the key for survival of species; the future of the species is dependent on AE. It relates to the survival, maintenance and creation of the species. No specie will ever survive without AE. Well, now you know ;)

“Passive or natural” selection of the species require years and unfortunately this process can’t help us any longer. Species are at risk and susceptible to extinction. Humans are evolving to be weaker. Let me go straight to the point folks. It is crucial that we use our natural cognitive capacity to advance evolution. There is nothing artificial to use all our potential to tap into evolution. Using our brain to influence and accelerate evolution of the species is the way to survival. The framework that best illustrates this theory is the conceptual trinity: experience — learn — evolve

- EXPERIENCE -

To exist, a specie must interact with its surroundings.

With a broad spectrum of interactions, each being has unique opportunities. The scale range from subatomic to macro experiences. This experiential knowledge may be limited or continuous, but it is required for every being. For example, sun exposure for plants, bacterial-host interaction for immunity, drugs for creativity.

Diverse beings are actively interacting. Bacteria, for example, interact as a community or solo for fundamental exchanges, like DNA exchange for gene transfer. Ruminants use nutrition as interacting tools with the environment. This not only provides essential nutrition, but also exposure to the earth microbiome and necessary antigens to develop a strong and healthy immune system. With unlimited processes, experience is the start of a survival mechanism.

- LEARN -

Cognitive potential is the most attractive gain.

Humans can only benefit from our cognitive capacity, and so other species and beings. To the advantage of every being, learning from every interaction opens the perspective of actions and reactions. I am sure you will never put your hand on a fire again. A bird knows it has to open the wings to fly. A virus is ready to mutate if needed to evade the immune response.

Acquiring knowledge has so much to do with survival. In natural selection, only species that can adapt to the environment can be selected. Also, in artificial selection the additions to the environment can select genes or strains to manifest specific things. Just look at Staph. aureus in hospitals. The speed that we learn has implications to survival.

- EVOLVE-

Advancing evolution is an active process.

After tons of interactions and learning opportunities evolving is an active process. Change just to change has no gain. Evolving to adapt, or to improve has increases power to the specie. This theory is about the future of the species. I am quite interested in advancing evolution of the species and that my friend needs to be fast. Discussing religious and philosophical views about the origins of the species can be fun, but not my thing to be on the past. I feel the responsibility to disseminate AE as an optional process of evolution but a requirement for survival. How do we evolve from here?

Gene editing/insertions, super vaccines, immune enhancing diet, meditation, technology-human transplants, hybridization of species are all tangible, but not limited, examples of AE. Not all technological and scientific innovations were created to advance evolution. The intention is the key.

The fact that this generation has watched species disappear from our planet, is telling that we are not learning fast enough. We could create cell banks, genome bank of species to prevent them going into extinction. This could also be true for genes from nature. Hybridizing species can also benefit species and even humans to become stronger. Insertion of technological transplants to advance body functions.Biomimetics of nature’s best lessons to improve survival. AE is any intentional/random action that modifies a specie/being for its benefit.

From the era of fast growing technology and science accessibility, lots of wonders come to mind. What is going to happen with humans when technology move faster than ever? How well trained robots are going to affect human jobs? What is going to happen to our environment when pollution has no sign of decline? How are we going to deal with the most resistant/virulent viruses and bacteria? Is artificial intelligence the end of human species?

We shall not fear, but advance evolution!

What are the genes or functions would you love to have?

(Let me know in the comments)

I would like to have the cuttlefish power to change my appearance according to each environment, or even be transparent. Also, how about 10k teeth per life, like sharks? hmmmm how about the bioluminescent potential of bacteria…
