You have a point. Don’t know if babel can do anything to improve transpiled async, but I don’t think it’s easy. Maybe with proper source maps we don’t have to look at it and we can just pretend it doesn’t exist.
I’m really glad you like it. But I don’t think you should reject full time work altogether if you can’t find something that excites you. At least find a job that will polish your technical skills so that you’ll be able to get the job you love when you find it.
