Start seeing events with your eyes and not your “camera”
I started doing photography as a hobby in 2008 and turned into a job that somehow compliments my design life years later, but in the “future is now” world, shooting has become an annoyance.
Somehow as years go by, shooting an event has become more and more difficult when looking for clean shots that don’t have a crowd of devices in the air or extra lights popping here and there.

You are paying for a ticket or it might even be a free event, but as soon as something cool happens there you are, phone in hand (sometimes tablet or even a real camera) shooting left and right and almost not letting the “event photographer” do their job.
Lets be honest, how many of you really go through all those images after they are on your phone or after you “instagramed” them away? Probably once or none, they probably are deleted later when you start running out of space or who knows.
Point is, because you have a “camera” (any type, be it professional or not) before you stop enjoying the event to start shooting and also before you tell whoever is next to you shooting “GET OUT OF MY SHOT” ask yourself, are you working as the event photographer? or are you just a guest? If its the latter, do yourself a favor, turn off your camera and enjoy the show.
