It’s an Escape

Just write.

We stare at blankness and we mark it quickly with something black and permanent. It doesn’t have to be good, it just has to be. Because it’s a way out.

Wake up in the morning, don’t put on the news. You’ll dread the news. It will ruin everything for you. You know the news even before you put it on.

The real news is right there, on the blank page or on the blank screen. Whichever. You make it new. Make it different. Make it right. Explain what’s wrong. Get it out. Escape. Help others get out.

There has to be a better world and a better place and a better time. That’s what we’re for. We open windows. We open doors.

No one has to look through. No one has to step outside. But all are welcome and when they do they can stare or look away. They can join in or leave. They can reside in this world for as long as it takes, for as long as they need.

Do it. Wake up in the morning and open a window. Draw a door. Give them all a way out because it’s rank in here.
