It’s wonderful that you’ve worked so hard and accomplished so much that you’ve earned the freedom to do this. I doubt the majority of employees could do this today. Since work can easily overwhelm everything else, 24/7 (see parents handling work emails at their kids’ soccer games), so balancing work demands with everything else is still a worthy goal, even if not the ultimate one.
