Overcoming Problems

Whatever you give energy to is what will thrive and live

How do you overcome problems when you’ve got these things going on in your life? How do you get rid of them? How do you get them out of your life?

Let’s compare it to grass or if you have a little garden at the back of your house. How does that garden thrive? If you’re in the Midwest where I live, it gets really cold in the winter. Thus, things typically die because it’s not being given what it needs to survive.

The same thing applies to problems. It applies to a lot of things in life. Whatever you give energy to is what will thrive and live. If you’re giving all your energy to negative things, to the bad things happening, to the problems, they’re gonna keep happening. They’re gonna keep growing.

It’s like bullying. From time to time, I would be made fun of or whatever when I was younger or in school. But the one thing that I did differently that I observed, (I guess I didn’t understand it at the time) the people who were made fun of in bullied regularly gave in. That’s what they did. They go, “Oh my gosh! Leave me alone! Leave me alone!” You’ve got to stop that because that’s what that person wants. That’s what the negative, the problems want. They want that fuel. When you don’t give it the fuel, it cannot survive.

That’s what I want you to do. I want you to take all that fuel you’re giving to the problems, to the negatives, to the things that aren’t working out and get rid of it. Stop it. Stop fueling that fire. Take that same fuel and put it in the things that you want, that you desire, that you’re excited about. Give that life. Give that water. Plant that seed.
