Rico Lewis vs Arsenal

Yesterday we witnessed a thorough game between Arsenal and Manchester City that went 1–0 to the Gunners. But Rico Lewis takes my attention to be more on Guardiola’s transformation, but, will he be successful? That’s my analysis:

Manchester City have a big midfield portfolio, with Matheus Nunes, Kovacic, Phill Foden, Bernardo and others more, but the choice of Pep against Arsenal was Rico Lewis, who demonstrated a little unknownness of the position where we play. He was a wing-back when he first steps in the senior football, but Guardiola see offensive characteristics there.

A u21 England international is 21 years old and 1:71m, and deserves the short career, he already deserves great compliments from the Spanish coach, who said it is a greatness that he has already trained.

But in my opinion, he has a lot of errors in the positional game had several times received the ball with the back to opponents net even when there was room to receive it head on and make progress. He has a good offensive intensity with the ball, but when the team loses the ball he can disappear from the game, and looks very soft defensively.

In general, I think that he has a brilliant future, but he needs to improve his tactical movement and a few technical details to be an undisputed holder.
