A fair question — one I’m thinking about as well. Ultimately, I decided I wanted to try the newsletter approach to see if it altered the writer/reader relationship. While I may hate email, the inbox has proven to be an exceptional delivery mechanism for this type of thing. Open rates seem to be hovering around 75%–80%, which is far higher than simply publishing on the web, even if those people subscribe to your publication or whatnot. Anyway, just testing it out :)
