I haven’t really thought this all the way through but self driving cars will be the end of Uber…

From what I’ve gathered, it seems like Uber is positioning itself to have enough money so that they can transition. According to another article, they already have enough money to replace the whole NY taxi fleet with their own self-driving cars. And, if ownership of self-driving cars evolve as predicted, we’ll be seeing a lot less people actually purchasing their cars and instead relying on services like Uber to take them where they need to go. Of course, with such an incredibly ground-shaking technology, not everything is going to go according to plan but I think Uber may be in an even better position when self driving cars do become an everyday occurrence (which I’m incredibly excited for!)
