• leading seaport
• population of 658,457
• 2nd safest city in the world according to Mercer 2019 Quality of Living Rankings
• Olympics were supposed to take place in 1940, but was cancelled because of World War II
• Olympic Stadium built in 1930
• 1st heavy metal church in 2005
• Heavy metal churches all across Finland
• Mixing of architecture
• Lots of restaurants
• Saunas everywhere (even in a Burger King?)
• Temppeliaukio church was carved inside a giant rock partially underground
• Kamppi Chapel
• Small amount of daylight
• Finland is Europe’s most heavily forested country
• Long, dark winters, but able to see the Northern lights
• celebrates Day of Failure
• Finland created Angry Birds
