Amal, Khudi & Kam Kam or Kam
Mr. Abdul Sattar Edhi was a great personality of Pakistan. He followed the three rules “Amal, Khudi and Kam Kam or Kam” in his whole life. He was uneducated and had no wealth. He had only feelings for others. He was always worried about poor, orphans and helpless people. He always wanted to improve the status of these peoples. So he determined and just started to help people. He had no wealth. He didn’t belong to some reputable family. He just started helping people and didn’t care about resources. He didn’t care how to help people, how to find resources and didn’t say that I will help people when I will have resources. He just started and didn’t care all other things. He just determined that he have to help people and just started and didn’t care other things. He started selling tickets on road to get money and to help people. He also sold cloths and collected funds from people at the road. He didn’t distracted from his way and just continue hard work. After his long time struggle he was in a position that he build a foundation to help needy people. Now this foundation receive billions of rupees every month as donations.
I also have a personal experience that based on these three principles “Amal, Khudi and Kam Kam or Kam”. I was very shy person. I couldn’t face any person even my classmates. I always avoided to interact with other people. I always try to keep calm and alone. When there was some presentation in the class then my other fellows perform better but I couldn’t perform well my legs were started vibrating when I come in front of people. I always degraded to myself. But one day I was sitting alone thinking that I also have two eyes, to arms and two legs as like my other class fellows who are performing well in the classroom and also out of class. Then I thought that nothing is impossible in this world. Everyone is here after hard word. I also can achieve that skills by working hard. Then I determined that I had to develop these skill at any cost. First of all I determined that I have to develop these skills. Then I started working hard. I didn’t care what other people will say about me if I do something. First thing that was necessary is to determine which skills you want to develop. Just like “Khudi”. First of all check yourself what deficiencies are there in your personality and what skills you want to develop first. So I determined that I have to develop these skills. Then I started working hard because nothing cannot be obtain without hard work. I tried to interact with other people. I started questioning in the class room. I started to take part in social events to improve myself. I tried to notice my fellows how they are performing well, what are the methods they are following. Then I also tried to follow these methods. The third thing is that I became unaware about my surrounding. I didn’t care what people will say about me. At the start people laughed at me but I didn’t care about it. I just continued my work. Now I have developed these skills after long time of struggle.
Nothing is impossible in this world, the only need is to determined and just start and continue your hard work without any distraction.
