I’m making this political.

What if we allocated millions to fund the research of emojis, such that someday we can have something approximating a universal emoji-based language?

Maybe one step of the new language would be to assign some categorical definitions of emojis so everyone sees and comprehends the same thing. After, there would be the ability to customize emojis, for example, cutting one in half to represent a smaller extent of the symbol.

I think this is possible, particularly if we combine psychometric data, which is the study of statistical psychology, and machine learning to quantify the data received.

The possibilities for this are exciting. What are your thoughts?
