*VISUAL NARRATIVES*

VISNAR LESSON

Researching into campaign material for our multiplatform task, we looked at prime examples for what we could do for digital or non-digital out of home approaches. We looked at major collaborations between companies and how they went about pushing the agenda and changing the campaign game. We, later on, had a special guest speaker who worked on collaborations and offered insight into the industry from the start.

FINAL GOODBYES

On Wednesday my flat and I had to say our farewells to the infamous C3 couch that we collectively bought together from a charity shop and carried across Kingston centre. Surviving a whopping five months in our flat, halls management threatened to fine us for bringing this fine piece of art into our flat. We had drawn on it, burned on it, cuddled, partied, and stored so many memories sharing the seats to all those who came around. As a final token goodbye, we decorated the shit out of it the night before we took it away. Today, to share on the legacy of the couch, we have donated it to Kingstons fine art foundation studio at Penryhn Road Campus, where it stands to make new connections.

THE 180 STRAND: LUX EXHIBITION

In central London stands the poplar 180 Strand exhibition, this time is the half-year long LUX showing involving international artists seeking to broaden the boundaries of art. Using AI, new technology, and algorithms to make these intricate pieces playing with sound, light, visuals, and so much more. Very much worth the experience, after gaining millions of attention on TikTok, as well as mine, it goes on for a little longer before leaving the beautiful art space.

WHITE CHAPEL GALLERY

Following the exhibition, I went to the White Chapel Gallery because there I had actually applied and been accepted to a collective and collaborative art group partnered with White Chapel called Duchamp & Sons with Yeon. After we both got accepted, we go for meetings on Wednesdays to work with real artists to put together a joint effort gallery take over the exhibition in May. With the group comes benefits like entering all White Chapel and partnered galleries for free.

*HISTORY & CONTEXT*

HISTCON LESSON

The supernatural within the world and within art, we explored the context of and the mystery and tales that inspire the world as we know it. Taking simple things and with the power of imagination along with the human experience to create art, things can mimic and imitate as others create a story. In class we got to our groupings to plan and discuss our video content, as group H, we figured out our structure for the material, assigned tasks, and discussed the narrative.
