This is a conversation we need to have
Pres. Obama (Archives)

Mr. President,

I am a young man who faced adversities and challenges as well. Coming from a dysfunctional family, I longed for the affection of my biological father. Needless to say I was denied and disowned by him. My mother, having only an (8th) grade education did the best she could. I am thankful however, for the blessing of not becoming a statistic as a result of the status quo. Thank you for your words of wisdom and inspiration that you generate across all genres, race and creed. You are indeed a role model to me and I thank you.
