It’s funny how the farther back you go, the more “oh, that makes sense” the omissions are. It’s almost like people hate change but get used to it with time.

The trick is to actually think about why Apple would make changes like these. If you get to “it’s just a cynical grab for money” and stop there, you’re missing out on the (often numerous) good reasons Apple has for what it does. They’re not always right, but headphone jacks are basically awful and the tech exists for us to live without them. So why not?
