Bad Dogs X Skull Legion
SEPTEMBER 2023 — Skull Legion, one of the strongest and most active Mutant Hounds factions and a Layer 3 community, has announced that they are in a new collaborative Web3 story-based project with Bad Dogs Company, a tight web3 community who’ve built an NFT collection with incredible artwork and vision.
After discussions in Discord and an IRL meet-up in Paris, a partnership has been established with a new live and evolving story to be written by the community members. The collaboration will merge the Skull Legion’s and its Mutant Hounds affiliated universe with the Bad Dogs ecosystem, together with utilising IP from both collections.
The Web3 collaboration roadmap includes:
- An evolving, expansive and guided NFT metadata story on the BadDogs platform
- Minting collaborative POAPs in conjunction with a live story engagement
- Raffle entry for POAP holders to win Bad Dogs NFTs
- Discord community games
- Final 2-part original story to be written, merging the two Web3 projects together using Otherside as the common ground and featuring their respective ecosystem NFTs
“Hounds Follow Hounds is the message we’re spreading here,” said Dr Dave Coin, Faction Lead of Skull Legion. “This collaboration with Bad Dogs brings together two communities who share the same notion that hounds are awesome, no matter the background. We are going to have some fun and ensure the unification of hounds and dogs will be a thrilling adventure. We are really excited about its evolution and the joint community journey.”

This partnership comes off the back of a Skull Legion community member purchasing a Bad Dogs NFT and a Bad Dogs community member purchasing a Skeletal Mutant Hound NFT. The shared experience that was publicised on Twitter brought together the two communities in an instant where it was further discovered that both communities held NFTs from both collections. The collaboration was inevitable and “hounds follow hounds” was born.
